 humayun"s  men  were  unaquainted  with the  local  lay  of the  land, he  took  advice   to  cross  the  river  ganges  to  enter  patna  , if  shershah  was  found  there  it  would  be  an  easy  win  or  then he  could  proceed  towards gaud
