... he was then waiting in the university  lawn for sara, busy nibbling   grass blades when suddenly  a pink bag fell before him,  followed by a pair of sandals  with pink feet in them   and milky cream  legs , he stared  at them  without  blinking an eye lid as he heard  sara speaking in his ear sarcastically  as she sat down before him  for  his roaming eyes  feasting on  the sight  

He said he was  not  in a doubtful voice,  she  laughed  at him  , his brain always  got shut off  in her presence,  she cheerfully remarked he was a fool,  he readily agreed  for liking her when the  university was full of lovely  girls,  she   teased him he was complaining like a married man,  , he agreed man was  by nature  pathetic  married or unmarried,  he sighed  in mock   sadness,  she waved her hand  bored and stopped him from being melodramatic,  she asked what was  his reason to be there sitting alone sulking like  a sad owl

He argued why did she always  compare him with  beasts , didn't she  have any  metaphors  of human kind, she enjoyed his complaining  , she had many examples  but  by just looking at him she gave examples of what he looked like,  she found it difficult to suppress her giggle

..Adam stop  , Patricia  walked forward  to see  his face was white  like   ice,  his lips  tightly pressed,  his forehead veins  stood out, his eyes  were  fiery,  , the  boy s mouth bled

 The boy fell on his knees,  Adam  caught Patricia  by her hand and walked away quickly,  the boy was  panting  badly,  he called out  breathless  it was  all  meant to be  a joke 

Patricia asked what was all this,  Adam didn't answer  immediately  then he  explained he saw them  hitting her and thought sge was injured,  he  straightened his shirt, he added the  boy will be fine  no worries,   but he too looked  nervous like Patricia

The friend began to cry,  his wife scolded him for having  enough  yet crying and not  giving his friend a loan

The husband explained  he was crying because he ought to have seen  his condition  and  should have helped before he asked for a loan

The wealthy man agreed his point was valid  but if evey recipient was a spendthrift like him all the money will be wasted within  a month or two,  then  what will ge do 

The clever man said again  the wealth from the wealthy   will be divided  equally amongst the rest again and again

...Patricia stepped into her house  and  found two things,  the first was a  stranger was sitting there in the living room  and  Second  was  the  apartment was still cool,  her husband  Adam introduced  the man  as detective Moore,  the wird detective  frize her in the  doorway,  what could have happened  , the first thing she thought of was her children,  several doubts rose in her mind,  but Adam was cheerful and from the children's room she could hear them watching a movie

Karol  said Adam,  Karol was their  proprietor  is dead  , someone killed him,  Adam said softly 

Patricia  was shocked,  the grocery bag she carried slipped from her shoulders,  Moore  announced  the bad news  sorrowfully, he wore  Chicago police uniform  , he held a  notepad in his hands , he had already questioned  Adam now it was her turn to answer a few questions 

She was ready to answer  his  questions,  Adam picked up the grocery bag and carried it away,  she took off her coat and hung it in the cabinet  and came to sit down before  the detective  in a couch, the sun had  set  one hour ago,  the living room  was dimly lit by the  bulbs in the ceiling lamp , 

one of the bulbs was fused and just the other two were  casting light

Patricia asked him when did this happen 

His dead body was found a couple of hours ago in the evening

Right  there in his apartment , a worker who had come to repair the boiler in the building saw him first 

Karol owned the building  consisting of two  apartments but he cleverly  turned the basement into a third unit

....Richard  continued speaking   jj was trying to tell him the name of the attacker and how he managed to get out, , bedroom was  a suite  consisting of two rooms divided  between by a partition  that can be removed  and put back anytime,   it needs a key to fix it and  un fix it, , during the search operation  jjwas shocked to see the attendant,  both argued and the attendant shot at jj  then realized  the fire shot  could  draw  an audience  so he bolted the door from within  and removing the  partition  entered the second section  not aware that jj was not dead  and witnessed everything  and would  manage to unlock the door to get out , the attendant used the key to the partition  to allow himself  to slip into the other room,  jj had gestured towards the suite

....Hilary had just got inside the sleeper compartment when he heard the fire shot,  his pace became faster  and moved towards the double bed  at the other side,  The train    jolted  and he lost his balance  hitting himself  against the  corridor wall, he recovered his  balance   to hear a noise  coming from  ahead, he reached the spot  to freeze   to see the inspector  bending over to check someone  who was half inside  the  coupe and half in the gallery,  there was a pool of blood around,  he  approached his father  to see  below  , it was j j Mac  swinging in the arms of the inspector,  be  was hit by a bullet,   Hilary  bent over to place his left   hand  on his  father's  shoulder 

He was crossing the gallery when he heard the  fire shot  explained the inspector  halting,  the sound had  come from within  the coupe gesturing towards the  coupe,  the door was  shut and he was about to use force to open it when it suddenly opened  and  j j fell  into the gallery,  he tried to break his fall, , jj looked into his eyes and tried  unsuccessfully to say something before  becoming silent 

Hilary asked his daddy what  did he say 

Forget it it isn't anything important 

It won't help,  he is dead,  the inspector looked at his  son,  he realized  he was  eager to know  what was the  dying man's last words
