then  continued  Charlie  with his  story,  all  his  listeners were  over  awed, he  was  sharing  his  past  experiences  to  entertain  them  , showing  his  hand  ,a  huge  scar  on his  hairy   large  sized  hand , running  across  the  middle  to  his  wrist ,where  no  more  hair  grew he  said  , don was  young  and inexperienced, but  horogain  was  sharp, he  began bluffing  in the  game  of  poker  , the  divided  shining  stones  between them  three , once  Charlie  had  won  were reducing  to  zero  on horgain, who  was   collecting  a  high pile  before him  now, , Charlie  doubted  his  intentions  and  asked  him to  show  his  cards, horogain attacked  him with  a  knife,  passing  it  through his  hand  glueing  him to  the  table, throwing  and  mixing  all  the  cards , picking  up  small ones  announcing  to  young  inexperienced  don that  cheats  like  Charlie  were  not  good  friends, they  proved  bad  for  others , taking  all  the   winnings the  two  of  them left  leaving  him there  stuck

they  spent  time  playing  bridge  in the  card  room,  he  and  Charlie  spent  more  time  together, he  noticed  nerward  and  the  expression  on  Charlie"s  face  turned  to  aggressive  hatred, he  kept  on staring  the  fat  man  flabby  chinned  shaking  all over  like  jelly, but  this  flab could  not  be  the  reason of  hate, he  asked  Charlie  for  a  drink  but  he  was  not  listening  he  was  still  staring  at  nerward, , after several  attempts  he  as  shaken  out  of  his  sleep  turned  his  focus  to  him, in his  eyes  the  hatred  was  very  clear  , then  looking  at  him he  shrugged  off  his  expression to  change  completely

the  three of  them  were also  aboard  the  same  ship, Charlie  and  he  travelling  London to  Sydney , and  that  nerward  from new Zealand  onwards, already  one  month  had  passed  , he  had  befriended  Charlie  on the  ship,  Charlie  was  a  very  social , friendly  and  popular, polite  courteous  and  a  good  listener  and  enjoyed  talking  to  all  the  passengers  and  staff  on board

he  wrote  to  hajra  expressing  his  emotions  about  self  and  life  , he  defined  life  as  an opportunity  to  make  it  what  one  wanted, if  life   was  treating  him good, he  was  happy  because  he  was  a  success, he  was  fortunate  , there  was  nothing  he  wanted  more  from life, he  was  full  and  content  in love,  health, wealth  , family  , social status, position , famous  , the  only  reason  was  she  , because  she  was  in his  life  he  had  all he  wanted, either  it  was  because  of  her  or  she  herself  that  life  was  worth it

rayaz  ahmed  finished  his  breakfast  quickly  , he  came  out, his  car  was  being  polished  by  the  driver  waiting  for  him, rayaz  suddenly  felt  something  warm on his  forehead, as  the  driver  stared  open  mouthed, rayaz   raised  his  hand  to  touch  his  forehead, there  a hole  had appeared, bleeding   profusely, rayaz  touched  it, as  he  fell down
