Darindah


a first person narrative of a rich man turned poor enough to become a thief , finds himself being chased by two men, he hides in gardenia hedges of a house letting his chasers drive past, suddenly he hears a woman shrieking breaking the peace of past mid night, he sees two personas in a car coming out from the house from where the shriek was heard, a woman is driving the car, he sees her face in the street light never to be forgotten, the narrator gets into the house to find the watchman killed in the lobby , may be he had tried to challenge the intruders, he finds wealth , cash, precious stones jewllery in drawers, stuffing his pockets and fillling up a big bag he takes keys of their new luxury car and drives away on the roads of Lahore, later he takes a rikshaw and pays him to take him to the shops where now its morning dawn is breaking milkmen gather, its business time , noisy, he can go unnoticed
