Just before he returned to hindustan in 585 Huzoor khwaja muinudin Ajmeri stayed in ghazni baghdad mosque for a while, he happened to see a extra ordinary turk origin slave pasing by the window, the khwaja exclaimed he is soon going to be the sultan or his life wont be snatched, soon this became known that a particular person has a goodlooking slave, the sultan was willing to buy him for one thousand but the owner was greedy, sultan declared he be shunned socially , whoever bought the slave would be hanged, later qutub ul din aibak who was like a son to sultan asked for his permission and paid one million to get the slave , who was actually from not a low race but was sold off by his wicked brothers when he was an infant so that they could themselves get rich by his share, now this slave was very intelligent and hard working , aibak was very pleased by his find and called him -Altamash
