Darindah by iqbal qazmi--narrator gets help from akbar whose turn it was to water his fields in the morning , narrator is given shelter, akbar tells him he had been questioned by three one of them a woman early that morning , their red car was crossing the university lane , akbar was told by her that her retarded brother was lost and if he seen anyone who matched the description, and since akbar had not met till then the narrator truthfully refused to have ever met him, but he did not actually believe her story, neither did he trust the narrator was telling him the truth, though akbar was uneducated he was smart and understood such incidents, the narrator tells him about his past, he was the witness of a murder, the woman in red car was one of the killers , who know him to be the witness
