Najmah tells the narrator who is forced by circumstances into the world of crime , he is good at heart but still a robber being chased by the police, he witnesses a foreign lady diplomat being assassinated by taji and shakil, the host country is blamed and put to shame for the diplomat's killing, najmah "s recent past is linked to taji , rashka"s to the dead diplomat"s and also to taji, the narrator is quite cleverly joining the pieces together soom he would be able to hopefully solve the mystery why the diplomat was killed , the secret of the locket, and connection of taji to the assassination
