.....another knock was heard on the door,  who could that be this time of night,  Hajraa whispered frightened,  amma was gone away to tge village,  taimur asked if there was an escape route,  if he reached the op of tge house  he could make it by jumping off the roofs  , holding the  child in his arms tightly he climbed up the stairs from tge courtyard leading to the roof , someone shouted from outside that taimur was inside,  they must have seen through  the chink  , loud banging was  heard on tge door  as it was pushed, shots were fired in the air , he turned to look Habra, s dead body falling  down from tbe higher stairs  on the ground,  clutching the child he ran for life,  hanad was half awake  bundle in his arms  moaning,  all tge roofs were joined  but it was not at all easy to run as fast as he wanted to on the old buildings
