....hardly after ten days had passed that the water was back , into the streets and the open fields flooding them covering them leaving everything soiled damp drained out dirty, swelling up fermenting stench filled up the entire area , cracks and bumps appeared , trees and other plants chipped and flaked resembling turtle s shell blotchy and bloated, the surrounding greenery and foliage was completely wiped out as if life was squeezed out from them , on the broken dried out wet dead branches all that was left was torn clothes hanging and stuck , shoppers, nests of strange webs of residual hooked up amidst the branches, traces of water receding was visible like maps on the uneven houses some higher built others lower in size , their doors and windiws painted by the floods stamping its signatures , even after ten days the walls smelled of wet soil and river water, the resident natives were slowly catching up with their routine life
