Khali Ghar by RRukhsana Negaar Adnaan-August The narrative is in first person- He is rudely woken up by the noise of something breaking in the kitchen, farzand"s rabit like face emerges round the door with a perpetual funny smile on his face , who pushes himself inside the door and entering the bedroom of the narrator tells him that the plate is broken whether its a piece of crockery or a person , life is fixed and sometime it must come to an end yet it hurts because a relation of attachment is always established between them. The narrator usually gets up early t Fajar but this particular day a wicked thought made him fall back to sleep.Farzand serves his master a hot breakfast of bread toasts with fluffy omlette of two eggs, later tea and aromatic spicey paratha is placed before the narrator on a huge master dining table , just his corner is cluttered the rest of the table is empty. But he gets up and away from his untouched plate.
