The Pub

alice  thinks  the  manager  of  the  inn  would  be  some  old  rough man  but  it  turned  out  to  be a young  woman, alice  had  lots  of  packed  food  with her  but  decides  to  get  some  thing  from the  market  that  closed  down by  five, too  early  , she  is  told  to  go  to  the  back door  entrance  to  get  things, the  woman in the  kitchen   tells  her  estel  was  a  widow  who  liked  the  company  of  men  more  than women , she  was  the  light  of  such  pub gatherings , alice  had  enough to  last  her  a  week  yet  she  goes  to  the  pub,   at  the  counter  stands  a  woman who  smilingly  gives  her  a  glass  of  white  wine  and  tells  her  her  husband  tells  all  new  tourists  that  it  was  a  special day  and  they  need  not  pay
