theirs  was  a  small compact  house, there  was a window  at  the  back, but  the  thick  curtain was  fixed  there  on father"s  and  brother"s  command, if  it was  drawn  aside  lots  of sun light, fresh  air  and  heat  filled  up  the  room but  orders  were  orders  meant  to  be  followed, the  curtain was  fixed  becaue there  were  two  building  blocks  and  a  school complex  across the  road  and  though nobody  looked  into  their  rooms   nor  could  they  see  anyone  but  it  felt  surely  secure  and  cosy  and  protective having  fixed  curtains
