sago was once eaten as staple diet meant for all, now it is given only to the sick, usually khichdi or kheer is liked but in many cultures sago is still added in their daily meal--brazil cooks sago with dry fruits and coconut grated to make rich bread, weat indies make toothpaste of sago and cook sago and fish together, Taiwan, Malaysia , bangla desh make soup and gravy of sago, Thailand, china, Indonesia make sago jelly, british use sago with cocktails
