--the  next  morning  when jamil reached  office  he  was  called  by  the  MD  mehmud  sahib, who  gave  him a  key  to  his  daughter"s  house  who  could  not  enjoy  living  there, the  house  was  vacant  and  the  loving  father  of  his  young  widow   daughter  asked  him to  shift  in there  with his  old  mother  and  live  there  as  long  as  he  wished  to , the  surprised  young  man  wanted  an  explanation, it  was  not  pity  for  him but  respect  for  jamil  for  not  sharing  his  troubles  with  others, for  not  expecting  any  profit  , for  not  asking  advance  from office  , for  his  dignity  mehmud  sahib  had  showed  his  keen interest  , there  was  some  mixed  expression on his  wrinkling  face  that  alerted  jamil, he  speculated  there  was  some  serious  problem  in mehmud  sahib"s  family  and  he  decided  to  some  day  help  him, they  both  showed  genuine  sympathy  and  empathy  towards  each  other  , laughing  off  mehmud  sahib said  he  wanted  him in the  house  because  he  could  not  afford  to  lose  a  good  worker  like  him
