-carrot  can  stay  fresh  burried  in cold  or  sand  for  longer, it  is  found  in several  colours in  afghanistan, originated  in yemen  it  is  now  cultivated  for  salads  and  foods  in almost  all  over  the  globe,  in a  seventeenth  century  painting  in holland  the  portrayal shows  carrot  was  used  in their  foods,  but  there  is  no  evidence  of  greek  and  roman  cultures   including  it  in their  foods,  in very  early  times  carrot  leaves  and  seeds  were  used  as  spices  and  herbs  , the  main root  was  later  to  become   main  ingredient  in chinese  fried  rice, soups, salads  and  jams  and  pickles , , carrots  in arab  countries  also  are  cultivated  in abundance
