....he had been leading a secluded life for quite some time,  a a lonely life  not interested in the benefits and  dangers of such a life,  perhaps iqbal was a specimen of independent species  and there  are quickly  adapted to single living,  he too had got accustomed to a lonely lifestyle,  it becomes a natural habit  unintentionally,  iqbal  had no family  nobody to revolve around him as a close relative  who could  take  emotional interest in him or expect something from him in return 

It is a true but odd situation  , now what is the necessity of reminding someone  he should get married,  but this also is true  close and  near dear  friends  became  hyper and   single people  become easy  catches  when parents  siblings and  the other married  get worried  on someone not getting married 

His was  a life of no fun rather boring  as is life  routine and  oneself,  his father owned a small scale firm  that he had  transferred to the second wife  the step mother of iqbal,  his real mother had died in childbirth,  the step mother  died leaving tge firm to iqbal,  stepmother  never illtreated him but iqbal believed it was her helplessness  she had no other choice  she remained childless
