joseph  entered  his  study, the  young  man sitting  there  smiled  at  him,  the  study  was  arranged  in old  fashioned  furniture,  the  furnishings  , curtains of  all the  windows  and  doors  were  worn out,, he  also  was  dressed  in inexpensive   clothes, talking  to  the  young  visitor  he  appologised  for  being  late  as  he  was  kept  busy  ,, the  young man  introduced  himself  as  mr  stone, joseph  said  he  already  was  aware  of  his  arrival  on the  island  because  the  miami  police  had   informed  his  chief  of  police  about  it
