johnson lived  in town, a  very  famous  and  popular  lawyer  he is  a  good  neighbour , one  day  he  sees  a  ladder  fixed  directly  on mrs  samson an old  invalid  neighbour  "s  bedroom, she  enjoyed  wearing  her diamonds, he  wanted  to  go  and  meet  her, ask  her  if  she  was  well, but  it  was rather late and  he  comes  home, eating  his  dinner  he  sees  her from his  window  in her  bedroom wearing her  diamonds, he goes  down for  after  dinner  walk, when he  comes  back he  decided  to  talk to  her  but  by then all her  lights  were  turned  off,  it  was  ten  , johnson  had  seen the  ladder  still  there
