johnson was  a  sixty  plus  advocate  who  had  practised  well  for  many  years  in town, his  neighbour  was  mrs  samson an old  woman  whose  rich  husband  died  leaving  all his  wealth to  her, johnson's  wife was  dead  fifteen years,  and  he  looked  after  mrs  samson and  was  the  care  taker  of  her  property
