-saira  beghum had  just  recently  sprinkled  water  in the  mud  yard  of  the  old  fashioned  mansion and  swept  it  clean  so  dust  will  settle  and  not  rise  ,  cots  were  arranged  neatly  and  white  bed sheets  spread  on them all,  on the  cement  floor  of  the  corridor  was  evenly   spread  out  matting  covered  with  sheets,in one  corner  sat  appa  with her  sewing  machine  stitching  clothes, romana  beghum was busy  preparing  a  vegetable  dish   for  all in the  kitchen, amma  sat  on one  of  the  cots  in the  yard  making  small  tiny  balls  with  wheat  dough  and  feeding  the  birds  and   hens  roaming  around , saira  beghum free  from cleaning  up  the  yard  filled  up  the  mud  pots  with  fresh  drinking  water , then  she  walked  towards  a  huge  family  kitchen situated  on one  side  to  make  tea  for  everone
