.....carol  got up thanking him for the doughnuts  and coffee also for saving her  from  boredom and loneliness,  suddenly unexpected  boldness  filled him and he held her hand  saying he won't let her go away like this,  surprise  shone on her face,  he asked for an explanation,   he stopped her from leaving,  , he made her sit down again,  he wanted to marry her, he proposed to her , she began laughing
