He got his  mix pack from the fridge  and came to sit down close to his mother in the old sofa , she was watching the news 

 She  shared the news  the murderer of the police cop was caught  did he hear that,  he would get death sentence,  that's what he deserved 

Mike opened his first beer,  the  newsreader an Asian woman was adding details,  since the  killer was arrested   the team  was now  looking for  a member of the search party  retired   x army man corporal John who was missing  since last night after  search operation,  the reporter tried to make it sound rather sensational  before pausing dramatically to look directly into the eye of the camera to  ask the viewers if that was  the  last man hunted by the accused killer,  

Mike  stole  glances  from this reporter,  from his mother  and from himself before opening another bottle
