he  was  a  pakistani  professor  of  history invited  to  a  conference  in washington to  participate  in an intellectuals  "  gathering  to  speak on his  subject, in his  homeland his  profession is  not  highly paid  nor  is it  considered  so  distinguished , but  he  earned  just  enough to  lead  a  normal life  with dignity  and was  thankful  for  his  daily  simple  dal  rice
