-he  met  roger  for  the  first  time  when they  both  were  in prison , their  duty  was  to  clean  up  the  kitchen  dishes,  they  had  no  objection  doing  it  together, their  opinion mattered nothing  because  they  were  prisoners without  a say,  all  inmates  were  given  duties  and  never  asked  if  they  wanted  to  do  it  or  not, in a  way  they  were  lucky  to  get  the  kitchen  work,  what  could  they  have  done  to avoid  if  given  the bathrooms  to  be  cleaned, there  was  no  escape  from prison  duties
