The Treat

One  evening  the  munshi  decides  to  give  a  treat  to  the  poets  gathering, it  was  a  hot  summer  evening, the  lawn was   adjoining   the  courtyard,   Since  afternoon water  was  sprayed    to  cool  the  atmosphere, For  the  evening  terracotta    shapely  surahis  were  filled    with   iced  perfumed  kevda  water, in silver  foils seven beetle  leaves  bundled  in red  silken pieces  were  placed in perfumed  kevda ,  it  was  a   moonlit  night , not  many  lanterns  were  arranged  for  illumination, by  eight  all were  present, the  first  round  of  falooda  started  followed  by  a  round  of  poetry  session,
