--peters  had  reached  the  spot  with his  pygmies, salar  with his  men  to  survey  the  site  given on contract to a  timber  company, they  had  their  own  private  and  government  security  guards surrounding  them but  spotting  peters  they  opened  fire, two  of  the  pygmies  were  injured  and  fell, others  hid  themselves  , then was  heard  peters  speaking  in English  they  had  come  to  talk  not  to  attack  them
