.... their typical  routine  starred with each  dawn , zalikha in the kitchen  prepared  pure ghee paratha  on  hot  frying pan,  giving  instructions to her daughter  bashra to have remembered  to wash her dirty socks  the day before and  to help her in the kitchen  by chopping up  onions if she wanted to eat an omelet  , or  make compromises by having  what was ready and gulp it down with a cup of tea
