...on fixed time  the alarm  buzzed,  he woke up by the  soft tones of the alarm , his sleep was not  deep  , he always kept  the alarm sound  low  so as to not disturb others,  , he  habitually woke up half hour before  fajar  to follow his   rituals  and recite  his prayers,   from his early childhood days  Taya abbu had   initiated him 

He completed his wazu and emerged  feeling very thirsty,  the water bottle in the room was empty,  to get water he had to go to the kitchen,  everyone else in the family was sleeping, he was  in the drawing room with a cot  arranged to one side  therefore it was also used as a guest room  sometimes 

He picked up the  empty bottle  and tiptoeing  reached the hall room outside,  the hall room was in the center and  beyond that was a gallery  with rooms on its both sides  the gallery lead to the kitchen in the end
