honest  wages   is  a  right  of  the  worker  , which  he  has  alone  earned, the  one  page story paints  a  vivid  picture  of  a  market  place   set on fire, everyone  is  busy   robbing  things  he  can   carry  home, nobody  calls  the  fire  brigade , a  man  sings  , a  small boy  carries  papad  packets  one  falls  down to  burn in the  fire, a  good  natured  man  carrying  a  sewing  machine   gives  wise  advice  , a  sugar  sack  rolls  down a  cart  to  be  torn and  sugar   quickly  disappears,, mulmul  cotton  rolls  fall  down  adding   fuel  to  fire,   to  turn to  ashes,
, ten strong  men  pull out  an iron safe  of  a  rich man to  break it  open,  an old  motor   blowing  its  horn passes  by, someone  carrying  as  many  as  he  can  upto  his  chin  milk cans  of  cows and  goats   crosses   past,  only  all  was   gathered  free  , nobody had  paid  a  penny  for  anything , they  were  toiling  for  free, trading   more  for  nothing  spent
, till the  story  makes  it  point  at  the  end, that  a  honest  labourer  who  also  needed  a  sack of  rice   for  his  family  was  doing  it  free of  cost  but  if  others  are  sharing  the  spoils  of  his  labour  they  must  pay  his  wages
--whether  its  just insignificant  coin it  matters  so much  to  him
