when  tahir  reached  the  professor"s  home,  an elderly  couple  emerged  from  the  drawing  room as  the  professor  himself  welcomed  tahir in,  a  normal  ordinary  couple  aged,  they  smiled   at  the  host  as if  they  knew  him  closely,  refusing  luch  because  his  guest  had  arrived,  as they  left  tahir   observed  their  smiles were  nice, specially  of the  male  member  who  behaved  naturally  cheerful , very  polite  and  well mannered, the  lady  was  plain  looking  , her  smile  did  not  match  her  eyes, as  if  her  eyes  belonged  to  some  other  face, so  sad  and  still and  full of  sorrow  that  tahir  got  disturbed
