.....opal was madly in love with fred , she had secretly planned  her marriage with him and knew her father had enough money to pay for them  to go around the world enjoying their honeymoon,  but  after meeting fred Ralph  decided  fred was a good for nothing man,  not suitable for his  only daughter,  he stopped them from dating anymore,  opal  was not  allowed to see fred  so she  made excuses to see fred and spend time with him  on the beach
