....there was complete  silence in the room  and amjad sat changing  sides on a chair looking frequently at the  expensive wrist watch tied on his wrist,  for past  half hour he was hanging on uncomfortably  waiting   , when he had come to this house  the door was opened by unfathomable smiling  deliciously  and  brought him to this room,  she stood  a while  asking after him  then left him saying she will come back with brother and his wife , since then he was shifting  his feet  over the  flames of waiting 

Amjad was a doctor  in a government hospital,  he hailed from a village where his family lived,  theirs was a family of landlords,  he had  lived   and studied in the city   , after his  parents death  and partition of their shares ge had no reason to go back to the village 

Ulfat some days ago happened to visit the hospital with her brother,  their relative was admitted there, , Amjad was on his routine round taking  reports of the patient admitted  ulfat  had come to see,  a glance  over her and he forgot all about his  reports,  it was love at first sight  with ulfat  finding him very attractive  too, , just to be close to her he wasted longer time  checking the patient  

It was a wordless  communication  between the two through their eyes and they realized they were in love,  the next she visited the patient she stepped into  the cabin of the doctor to find out  the details  , from this point onwards they began seeing each other  regularly
