Meditation And Health
Given below is a meditation commentary can be used to heal the physical body. Think slowly and visualize side by side each positive thought given below before moving on:I sit quietly and turn inwards........I visualize a pinpoint of light, a sparkling star, the source of pure energy that I am........located in the center of my forehead........In this awareness, white rays of the divine light of purity from me extend into my physical body in the form of a laser beam........These vibrations of purity soothe, heal and energize my physical system........ The impurities, toxins and illnesses in the body are being washed away and thrown out from the extremities........The body starts experiencing its original inner beauty........It returns to a state of harmony, to a state of good health.......

'The believer sees with the Light of God.' When the believer looks with 'The believer sees with the Light of God.' When the believer looks with God's Light, he sees all things: the first and the last, the present and the absent. For how can anything be hidden from God's Light? And if something is hidden, then it is not the Light of God. Therefore the meaning of revelation exists, even if it is not called revelation."

The Thread of Life

by
Christina Rossetti
1
The irresponsive silence of the land,
The irresponsive sounding of the sea,
Speak both one message of one sense to me: —
Aloof, aloof, we stand aloof, so stand
Thou too aloof bound with the flawless band
Of inner solitude; we bind not thee;
But who from thy self—chain shall set thee free?
What heart shall touch thy heart? what hand thy hand?—
And I am sometimes proud and sometimes meek,
And sometimes I remember days of old
When fellowship seemed not so far to seek
And all the world and I seemed much less cold,
And at the rainbow's foot lay surely gold,
And hope felt strong and life itself not weak.
2
Thus am I mine own prison. Everything
Around me free and sunny and at ease:
Or if in shadow, in a shade of trees
Which the sun kisses, where the gay birds sing
And where all winds make various murmuring;
Where bees are found, with honey for the bees;
Where sounds are music, and where silences
Are music of an unlike fashioning.
Then gaze I at the merrymaking crew,
And smile a moment and a moment sigh
Thinking: Why can I not rejoice with you ?
But soon I put the foolish fancy by:
I am not what I have nor what I do;
But what I was I am, I am even I.
3
Therefore myself is that one only thing
I hold to use or waste, to keep or give;
My sole possession every day I live,
And still mine own despite Time's winnowing.
Ever mine own, while moons and seasons bring
From crudeness ripeness mellow and sanative;
Ever mine own, till Death shall ply his sieve;
And still mine own, when saints break grave and sing.
And this myself as king unto my King
I give, to Him Who gave Himself for me;
Who gives Himself to me, and bids me sing
A sweet new song of His redeemed set free;
He bids me sing: O death, where is thy sting?
And sing: O grave, where is thy victory?

Meditation For Experiencing Soul Consciousness Read over the following words slowly and silently. Using the power of visualization, aim to experience them in your mind:I withdraw my attention away from the physical limbs and sense organs........ I focus on myself........I am listening through these ears........I am looking through these eyes........This instrument of mine, the physical body, is a precious vehicle........a valuable instrument, a medium........But, that which is more valuable and more precious is the being making this instrument function........Within this assembly of bones and muscles and amazing organs is a being of light........In the centre of the forehead is a point of light ……I am this being of light........I the being of light express myself through this body........But the body is not I........I am light........I emanate rays of peace in all directions........I become aware of the power within this point of light........Within I the being of light is everything that I am and everything that I have........Within my own being are my virtues, my powers, my talents........In the awareness of who I am I radiate this light within........and in the awareness of this inner light........I hold my head held high in dignity........

  • The deepest and most important form of leadership today has little to do with leading the troops into battle, or leading the teams into the market place of competition, or even leading the nation or organisation. Leadership is the ability to help others see and know themselves, know their own values, and their value to others, and align their action with their values. It is called integrity, transparency, being egoless, humble, honest, caring, benevolent. In short, being 'a good human being'.

'Why was Adam driven from the garden?'The pupil asked his master. 'His heart was hardenedWith images, a hundred bonds that clutter the earthChained Adam to the cycle of death following birth.He was blind to this equation, living for something otherThan God and so out of paradise he was drivenWith his mortal body's cover his soul was shriven.Noblest of God's creatures, Adam fell with blame,Like a moth shrivelled by the candle's flame,Into history which taught mankind shame.Since Adam had not given up his heartTo God's attachment, there was no partFor Adam in paradise where the only friendIs God; His will is not for Adam to imagine and bend.'

All who, reflecting as reflected seeThemselves in Me, and Me in them; not Me,But all of Me that of contracted EyeIs comprehensive of Infinity;Nor yet Themselves: no Selves, but of The AllFractions, from which they split and wither fall.As Water lifted from the Deep, againFalls back in individual Drops of Rain,Then melts into the Universal Main.All you have been, and seen, and done, and thought,Not You but I, have seen and been and wrought:I was the Sin that from Myself rebell'd;I the Remorse that tow'rd Myself compell'd;I was the Tajidar who led the Track;I was the little Briar that pull'd you back:Sin and Contrition -- Retribution owed,And cancell'd -- Pilgrim, Pilgrimage, and Road,Was but Myself toward Myself; and YourArrival but Myself at my own Door;Who in your Fraction of Myself beholdMyself within the Mirror Myself holdTo see Myself in, and each part of MeThat sees himself, though drown'd, shall ever see.Come you lost Atoms to your Centre draw,And be the Eternal Mirror that you saw:Rays that have wander'd into Darkness wideReturn, and back into your Sun subside.'

Your face is neither infinite nor ephemeral. You can never see your own face, only a reflection, not the face itself. So you sigh in front of mirrors and cloud the surface. It's better to keep your breath cold. Hold it, like a diver does in the ocean. One slight movement, the mirror-image goes. Don't be dead or asleep or awake. Don't be anything. What you most want, what you travel around wishing to find, lose yourself as lovers lose themselves, and you'll be that.

Anger Management (Visualization) Think of a person in your family or a colleague at work, who always manages to bring about emotions of anger inside you. Now visualize that you are sitting with him/her beside a peaceful lake. You are both talking peacefully about how you love to lead peaceful lives. Keep this thought and image in your mind daily for one week and mark your progress on a scale of 1-5 (1 being least successful) for the following points: Q1. Did I remain peaceful today?Q2. Did I interact peacefully with this person today?Q3. Did I see the quality of peace in this person today? If you scored less than 3 on a day for any of the points, are you able to identify what prevented you from achieving a higher score? Note down your experience of doing this exercise and bear your comments in mind as you continue to practice and monitor your own progress.

Creating A Peaceful Workplace Ask yourself the question: "What would make my workplace or home a more peaceful place?"There are many ways in which you can do this, through your own behaviour and the way in which you organize your workplace or home. By functioning from an inner peaceful state and being a peaceful listener, you are able to create meaningful interactions with whom you work and stay. As well as creating a peaceful state within, it is important to bring a sense of peace into your surroundings. You can make positive changes in the outer environment, which might promote and reflect inner peace. They are not separate, as the 'outer' reflects the 'inner'. You can choose plants, pictures, colours, sounds and furnishings, which contribute to a sense of calm, peace and well-being. You can also do this by clearing noise and finding ways of creating a sense of openness or space at your workplace or home.

A lover', said the hoopoe, now their guide,'Is one in whom all thoughts of self have died;Those who renounce the self deserve that name;Righteous or sinful, they are all the same!Your heart is thwarted by the self's control;Destroy its hold on you and reach your goal.Give up this hindrance, give up mortal sight,For only then can you approach the light.If you are told: "Renounce our Faith," obey!The self and Faith must both be tossed away;Blasphemers call such action blasphemy --Tell them that love exceeds mere piety.Love has no time for blasphemy or faith,Nor lovers for the self, that feeble wraith.
