from Ahad-e- Harun --august--In those days in Baghdad a new trend was said to have been set by Shehzadi Abbasa the youngest sister of Khalifa Harun al rashid , the women folk all paid a tremendous amount of money to talented tailors who had the expertise in cutting pashwaz shirt from the waist and pleating it tightly to show off the tiny waisteline to advantage, this invention was made with silks embroidered with gold threads , rich borders and accessaries of bright vibrant colours were emphasised by the lightness of the knee-length shirts, , face silk veils were studded with gems in intricate patterns , and gold threads were used to weave exquisite designs, the slim slippers were also richly covered with gold and other colourful embroidery , heads were crowned with their black long hair in beautiful hair-dos
