Drugut says --because he had been most useful to the sultan, by providing slaves, capturing ships, raising treasurey wealth, killing the enemies of sultan, because he had proven himself worthy of being the righteously amir of algeire where as rustam had married the daughter of the sultan and used royal women folk to put in his name for the post of amir of the sultanate, so rustam could never harm him as long as drugut was serving favourably
