who  says  the  scottish  people  are  notoriously  infamous  for  their  miserliness,  a  latest  anecdote  about  their  football  team  is    that  the  manager  of  the  team  called  the  center  forward  and  presented  him with  a  compliment  congratulating him on his  extra  ordinary  performance  during  the  season , and  handed  him a  check  of  handsome  amount, promising  him  the  chairman  would  definitely  put  his signatures  on it  if  he  continued  to  play  like  that  the  next  season also
