-the  detective  also  had  reached  by  the  time  a  woman  witness  came  forward  , it  was  a  dark  shivering  evening  in new jersey  and she  had  seen the  couple  walk  from the  parking  to  the  restaurant  , she  had  seen  him pat  his  pocket  and  turn  from his  wife  away  instructing  her  , she  had  seen him walk  some  feet  away, she  saw  him suddenly  stop  and run back, curious  the  winess  had  stretched  her  self  and  followed  the  running  man  to  see a  shadow  of  a  masked  figure  crouching   jump  up  and  escape  the  scene, slight  in figure  it  was  not  sure  if  it  was  a  man  or  a  woman  , but  the  witness  did  see  the  whole  crime  live on the  spot
