it  was  the  wedding  day  , shaina"s  wedding  day, in the  evening  henna  function was  held, when everyone  applies  henna  to  the  bride,, all  around  the  wedding  house  in the  village   tiny    mud  lamps  were lit  in mustard  oil,   women gathered  to  sing  wedding  folk  songs, small  girls  assisted  elder  women in the  rituals  ,dholak  was  played, in between some  one  would  get  up  to  try  out  a  dance  step, the  entire  household  was  filled  with  the  in  flow  of  guests,, at  the  back  of  the  house  stood  ripened  corn field, amidst  it  was  imran with  blazing  red  eyes
