--they  had  been  for  how  long  they  could  not  remember  praying  , silently  , iha  and  zara    waiting  for  some  information  when mehez  rang  up,  safya  was  still in ICU,  iha"s  colour  changed  dramatically  to  deathly  pale, zara  became  nervous, everyone  in his  life  goes  through  painful experiences  , life  is  so  just  in giving  every  one  his  share  of  sorrows, turn by  turn or  sometimes  grouping  them together,  the  doctor  also  softly  and  gently   told  mehez  he  was  merely  instrumental, the  real  control of  life  and  death  was  only  in the  almighty's  hands, all he  could  do  was  try  his  best  , be  there  to  perform his  duty
