--li  shin was  poor , he  worked  for  food, sometimes  as  porter  other  times  he picked  pockets  , broke  into  houses, he  could  unlock  any  type  of  locks, Collins and  his  partner  were  also  thieves,  but  if  li  shin was  really  such  an  expert  in his  line  , he  spent  days  in empty  houses  with  stores of  food  placed  in fridges  , with owners  gone  on trips,  the  it  seemed  impossible  that  a  robber  of  his  caliber  should  be  going  around in pathetic  starving  condition
