...a young man appeared  at a military  office  to join the army   in Vietnam,  he was certain he will fail his medical eye check up , he was short sighted, the army officer  asked him to describe tge map  from ten feet away,  tge canditate  could nit see anything  , he was stood  near the map   a couple of feet from the chart yet he couldn't  find  the locations,  

He was passed  fit  for r hand to hand combat
