..helplessness leads to fear, , they were tied up and gagged , they couldn't call for help,  their etes blindfolded   they couldn't see a thing but the barking  of the hounds  in frenzy  was a sign of trouble,  they were not cowards  but  they couldn't just  move,  , scare   sweated them drained them of the whatever energy was left, , all that they could see for themselves was a painful death  amidst the hounds, death  by a being shot or a quick exact knife stab wasn't  painful at all as  the  feeling of becoming  meaty morsels  being transferred to the  empty tummies of tbe deadly hounds
