--jean was a young girl , newly appointed by mrs bolino to take care of her and her house hold, but there was not much work to do except listen to the stories and gossip of the old woman, who was a talker, she had so many stories to tell , like a magician she would either weave them or pull them out from her pocket, jean also learnt the hard way that it was better to listen to the tales and keep her hostess happy, than to be unemployed and be a financial burden on her parents, it was her first job and she was happy with her salary, she had enough left to save it for a rainy day after paying her bills and rent of her rooms,
